Put Yourself in History
The goal for this piece was to seamlessly insert myself into a photo from history. I selected this iconic photograph of Muhammed Ali and I put myself as a spectator among the photographers in the background using layer masks. I cropped the photo of myself and added a gradient filter to make it black and white and appear slightly aged. then I resized it and added myself into the background with the boxing ring in front of me. I chose to add myself as a spectator outside the ring because there were already some other people in the photo in that area, and I wanted to hide myself within the scene where it would be most natural. I wore clothing that was fitting for the age of the photo, and made sure that my size was in proportion with the other people around me in the scene.
